Yamabuki Nadeshiko ‘Japanese Beauty’ is a post-fermented black tea with a production process like no other tea of its kind. The award-winning tea is produced by microbial fermentation, a similar technique used in Japanese Sake fermentation. Using 2020 first and second harvest organic dried tea leaves of mostly Yabukita and Benifuki cultivar, the leaves are fermented with a mold for a few days in a sterilized environment. Following further oxidation, the leaves are heated to kill the bacteria and then dried.
This unique tea can be equally enjoyed as a hot or cold brew.
