Welcome to TeaRest, where the taste and aroma of premium loose leaf tea take you on a sensory journey to the tea fields of Japan. The love and passion for a good cup of tea started many years ago whilst living in London during which I explored the many different High Teas on offer. This in turn sparked an increased interest in the various styles of teas and its production. Returning to South Africa, I found myself more than ever eager to pursue this dream of finding a loose leaf tea which is superior in taste and aroma. In 2018, I was able to visit Japan’s tea fields during a Comprehensive Tea Study Tour, the final injection to set this passion into practice. TeaRest was born. A name very fittingly given by my 5-year old who explained you ‘rest whilst drinking tea’. I’m on a journey to expand my tea collection and pride myself in knowing the teas on offer is directly from the producer and true to each drop in every aspect.
